The decision
The decision every Salesforce CPQcustomer faces
Salesforce CPQ isn’t end-of-life — but it is end-of-growth.
- No new features or innovation
- Upgrade traps waiting around the corner
- Admin overhead growing every year
- The question isn’t if you’ll move — it’s how

FAQs
Common questions about the sidecar transition and how it works.
Do we pay for both CPQs?
During a sidecar transition, yes — you run both Salesforce CPQ and Expedite. If you choose Replace, you eliminate Salesforce CPQ license fees. Either way you keep functionality through the change.
Which system is primary?
Genesis is the rules engine of truth; Salesforce keeps the transaction record of truth — quotes and reports. You get the strengths of both.
Will performance improve?
Genesis executes rules faster, so quoting speeds up. Writeback still depends on Salesforce, but the rules and configuration work happens in Genesis.
Are we stuck forever?
No. The sidecar is a transitional model — you can cut fully over to Replace whenever you’re ready, at your pace.

Your Salesforce CPQ is ending.See exactly where you stand.
Run the free assessment on your own Salesforce CPQ — it reads your last year of quotes and shows exactly where you’re slow, which rules move to Genesis automatically, and how much faster quoting gets. Your current setup keeps running while you test.
